900 Grayson in Berkeley, CA
After a night of drinking, we somehow woke up the next morning at 10:00 to drag our butts to 900 Grayson for some FRIED CHICKEN AND WAFFLES!! I had been dying to go to 900 Grayson since forevereverever. And it was delicious and definitely worth the hour long wait for a table. But after having tried both Roscoe’s and 900 Grayson, I have to admit I prefer Roscoe’s. I love the gravy at Roscoe’s, and their fried chicken is so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. At 900 Grayson, you have to pay a little extra fee for both gravy and syrup while Roscoe’s gives you both with your order. But the fried chicken from 900 Grayson is boneless, which makes eating it a lot easier and less messy. As for aesthetics, 900 Grayson takes the cake for food presentation. Even looking back at photos makes me drool. Word of advice, get the gravy on the side so that your chicken and waffles aren’t soggy by the end.
Waiting outside by the dirty payphone.

Finally seated!!! :D
